Are you done losing by just THAT MUCH? Yeah, me too.
So, today, I’m celebrating the win. I managed to achieve my goal for the week, and still have plenty of time to get everything else done too. I have time to get it all done. That’s a win for me. Every moment, every conceptual win, I can celebrate, because I know what it’s like to lose.
Yeah. I do. I know what it’s like to wake up in a parking lot and have to crawl three parking spaces to my car, praying I make it before I die. I got there. I got help. I found out I had blood clots in my lungs and it could have turned out much different. But I’m alive. That was a win.
I’m worthy of winning. I’m worthy of celebrating every single win.
So, this whole concept, celebrate winning, came from a job I completed last night. My son-in-law was watching as I completed the job, hit the send button, and I walked away from the desk. When I returned, I had a couple of cookies, a glass of water, and a list of things to do that I’d left on the table. He said, “Why don’t you take the night off and enjoy yourself?”
He said, “You’ve worked hard all day. You deserve a break, and some rest from the work. It’ll still be there tomorrow. Enjoy your cookies, but take the night off. You deserve to celebrate completing that hard job.”
I checked my social media accounts, turned the computer off and walked away for the evening. When I kicked the computer on this morning, I had a whole list of things to get done, and completed most within the first hour online. My day ran smoother, because I took some time away last night. And I felt better.
I celebrated the win, and enjoyed the time away from work.
Play time is important too. Celebrate the work with playtime. Time away from work when you can just appreciate life. You’re worth it!
